Light Showers

Dazzled

The cello is a bumble bee,
And I prefer the spectrum-plashy sun wings
Of warm, garden-dazzled butterflies.

The cello is a Saint Bernard,
And I prefer the slit-eyed spring
Of sleek, cream-seeking tabby cats.

The cello is a Jersey cow,
And I prefer the quick, strong flash
Of shy, mane-tossing whimsy colts.

I love wild violins.
