Light Showers

(Genesis 21)

An Arab body's on the sand,
Felled upon the promised land.

His shoes are new; his gear is fresh;
His clothes are burnt upon his flesh.

Isaac rides his jeep with joy,
But Hagar's weeping for her boy.
I think that Christ weeps for that boy.
